Le Fonds Rina Sherman Files réunit des collections d’archives pluridisciplinaires et multimédia de la culture et de la création du monde contemporain, avec le réel comme référent. Il s’agit à la fois d’une base de données, source de mémoire vivante pour la création d’œuvres rédigées, qu’une archive en tant qu’œuvre en soi, proposant une trace vivante du passé et une fenêtre multidimensionnelle en transformation du présent.
Ce fonds réunit des histoires audiovisuelles de patrimoine immatériel artistique et culturel en France, en Afrique Australe (Afrique du Sud, Namibie, Angola, Botswana, Mozambique), en Europe (Irlande, Grèce, Italie), aux États-Unis, au Canada, aux Territoires du Nord-Ouest et ailleurs.
Le Fonds Rina Sherman Files réunit ainsi plusieurs collections d’archives de textes, de films et de photographies ; une archive pluridisciplinaire de fabrication et de connaissance.

The Rina Sherman Files Fund brings together multidisciplinary and multimedia archival collections of culture and creation in the contemporary world, with reality as its referent. It is both a database, a source of living memory for the creation of authored works, and an archive as a work in itself, offering a living trace of the past and a multi-dimensional window into the transformation of the present.
This collection brings together audiovisual histories of artistic and cultural intangible heritage from France, Southern Africa (South Africa, Namibia, Angola, Botswana, Mozambique), Europe (Ireland, Greece, Italy), the United States, Canada, the Northwest Territories and elsewhere.
The Rina Sherman Files Fund brings together a number of archival collections of texts, films and photographs; a pluridisciplinary archive of production and knowledge.
