Rina Sherman, filmmaker, photographer, anthropographer, and also a portrait artist, spent seven transformative years living with an Omuhimba family in Namibia, where she connected with their culture and way of life. Immersed in the rhythms of daily existence, Sherman found herself drawn to the statuesque faces of the people around her. With an eye for detail and an understanding of the human form, she turned to portraiture as a means to capture their essence, preserving their stories and expressions in timeless works of art. Her portraits not only reflect the beauty of her subjects but also the profound connection she forged with the Omuhimba community.
